We saw it coming, so it isn’t the biggest surprise. With the second half of signing day passing, Renaldo Hill is heading to the NFL.
Hill, who played defensive back for the Dolphins from 2006 to 2008, has joined Miami’s coaching staff in an unspecified capacity.

He started 38 games during his time in Miami, picking off six passes and recording 152 tackles.
He joins Adam Gase’s revamped coaching staff, which has this offseason had changes at offensive coordinator, the offensive and defensive lines, running back and secondary.
Head Coach Pat Narduzzi tweeted it out yesterday.
Hill was quite good as Pitt’s secondary coach. He dealt with a slew of injuries and a lot of youth at the positions. Players developed and he was sought by several college programs after the season. Those he had rejected, but a chance to coach in the NFL was too good of an opportunity to reject.
Archie Collins hasn’t officially been named his replacement, but that is almost certainly going to happen soon.
Pitt still has the offensive line coach position to fill along with that unknown 10th assistant position. With signing day complete, Pitt will probably get both spots filled in a week.
(And yes, I know Pitt basketball lost again. Just getting repetitive, isn’t it?)

Its been noted from several bloggers and even openly commented on by TV color commentators that Pitt DBs were terrible at looking for the ball while they were chasing WRs who beat them routinely.
Don’t have any idea of whether Archie will be any better but its my view if he does a bad job we won’t really know the difference.
As for moving season ticket holders, it speaks volumes to the tone-deaf administration at Pitt. What in the heck is attractive about having an empty end zone section for the whole 4th quarter, no matter if its a close game or not. After all the students have to get back to Oakland to do what . . . . .
The BB program is draining the athletic budget more than people want to acknowledge.
Rumor has it that Heather is the leading AD candidate for the Michigan State job. She’ll be gone before KS needs dealt with and thus he stays another year. Another bag left on the front porch to stink up the place.

The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents approved Thursday a pay raise for UW athletic director Barry Alvarez, and football coaches Paul Chryst, Joe Rudolph and Jim Leonhard. The salary amendment was first considered following the 13-win season of the UW football team, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Under the new terms, Chryst is expected to make $3.3 million in 2018, with his salary increasing by $100,000 each year of his five year contract. Rudolph and Leonhard, the other UW football coaches, are set to make $600,000 and $650,000, respectively, this year, with Leonhard’s salary increasing $25,000 every year. – Matt O’ Connor, Badger Herald.
On another subject..what are everyone’s thoughts about Craig Meyer’s article in the PG this AM? I think it may save Stalling’s job. Not that anyone wants it to.
MSU may take years to sort out. What AD wants to go there and fire Izzo and Dantoni. The two most successful HC’s in school history. That’s exactly what the next AD will have to do. The person who does that won’t survive the fan fallout.
I really do feel for those of you that lost your seats. I agree it sucks and if you’re going to do this type of this it shouldn’t be sprung out of the blue. But if season ticket holder complaints stopped it last time, maybe that’s the reason for the abrupt change. No time to complain since seats are being assigned now.
Don’t the students already sit in the end zone. They don’t fill up the sections above them and this is where the change is suppose to take place. Those seats are empty for the most part anyway. So they will move season ticket holders to those empty seats. The seats in the end zone for season ticket holders will now be for students who don’t come to the game. SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT SENSE THIS MAKES ? At least those season ticket holders that sat in lower bowl actually
come to the games.

When she announced placing tarps on seats, coach Narduzzi was “pissed”. Talk about giving recruiting a kick in the ass. This is just another example of no respect for season ticket holders.
Our student section is pathetic except for the first game and Penn State games. They leave because they don’t care, want to catch the bus and the team was bad last year. They could have seats on the 50 yard line, they still would not fill up their sections for the same reasons above.
YOUR MISSING THE WHOLE POINT OF MY DISCUSSION WHICH IS THE STUDENTS DO NOT COME TO THE GAMES PERIOD NO MATTER WHERE THEY HAVE SEATS. THE YEAR BEFORE THE STUDENTS PURCHASED 12,000 SEASON TICKETS ( MOST LIKELY FOR THE PENN STATE GAME) AFTER THE PENN STATE GAME THEY FAILED TO COME. YOU CAN REASSIGN ALL THE END ZONE SEATING YOU WANT, IT WILL STILL TRANSFER INTO EMPTY SEATS.
WIN GAMES , ESTABLISH A GOOD CONSISTANT PROGRAM AND YOU WILL GAIN LOYALTY AND MORE ATTENDANCE…EVEN THOSE SAME “NOT ENOUGH SEASON TICKET HOLDERS TO RESPECT THEM” MAY COME BACK INTO THE FOLD.
If I were you, I’d scope out the seats I want in a different location and request those for the same price as your seats you are losing. They may put you on a waiting list as well. What should happen if the ticket office has any sense of customer service, is you should get what you ask for, as long as it is reasonable.
It appears you are prepared to walk away all together, so this suggestion keeps you at the games. And brother, do we need you at the games along with your contingent of friends.

One of the biggest complaints, however, is a lack of a college atmosphere at Heinz. Putting the kids in the end zone adds to the college experience IMO. I like the move. I, personally, believe the students are the heart and soul of any fan base and should be the focal point at an event. Just like the Zoo wraps around the court at the Pete.
I gladly pay for season tickets every season but I’m 100% okay with the students getting preferential treatment. I don’t care how much someone donates or pays for their seats. Get the students excited about attending games first then let winning take care of the rest.
It’s Pitt, there is a lot to complain about, but moving students to a section they should have already been in is not one of them … unless, you’re directly affected.
It sucks for anyone losing seats they like but, unfortunately (more often than not) you can’t please everyone. I don’t blame, nor will I criticize, anyone affected by the move for not re-upping their season tickets.
Winning corrects all attendance issues.
I’d recommend moving over to section 131 where the band used to sit…basically switch sides with them. Nobody bought season tickets there last year, so you should have your pick of seats, and have a similar view to where you were last year. I sit in section 133, and it is nice to have the shade and not bake in the sun during the 2nd half of those warm games in September and October.
Soon there will not be enough office space to handle all the Senior Associate, Deputy, Executive Associate, Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors she has on staff. The latest one is hired to beg for customers of their premium seating and of course their money.
A little birdie has told me we will be going back to the old colors for the coming year, the colors used in the football retro uniforms last year.I wonder how much cash this will cost? I am sure this will certainly win more games for us next year, don’t you agree ???? LMAO
