Sorry. Not a lot of time today, so I kind of have to keep it shallow.
Paul Chryst gets effusive about UNC’s tight end, Eric Ebron.
“You love watching him on tape, and then all of a sudden you’re like, ‘Shoot, we’ve got to play him,’” Chryst said. “He’s good, and I love a good tight end.”
That would have 12-year-old me 16-year-old me 22-year-old me Oh, hell it still has me snickering.
Paul Chryst also addressed the viral video of him dancing. He apparently was not as pleased with it as everyone else.
The video went viral, which didn’t please Chryst, but he said he learned a lesson.
“The locker rooms used to be sacred,” he said, “and shame on me for being so naive. But we’re taking care of measures to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
Chryst said he hadn’t seen it. “My kids looked at it and said, ‘Thanks a lot, Dad.’ ”
By Thursday afternoon, the eight-second video had 27,019 views on You Tube.
I really, really hope this is an example of his dry sense of humor. That video — yes, almost certainly cringe-worthy for him — was perfect. It was Chryst showing fun, emotion and just being a little more than simply a coach.
The O-line was strong against Notre Dame. Can they show it wasn’t just getting up for one game against the Irish? I have no idea.
ACC Network telecast, but they are airing a few games, so not all ACC Network affiliates will be showing it. I can’t make it to the game this week. Here’s the list. Damn. Guess I’m watching on ESPN3.com
I agree he would laugh it off but he also has the ‘what happens in the locker room, stays in the locker room’ mentality that some people have complain about.
Personally, I think that mentality is great. Who is the jackass that took the video?
This is my primary concern; the 2nd being the athletic UNC QB that also has been troublesome for us this year.
In print, it looks that way, he enjoyed every minute of it!!
You just don’t get it. And who cares about beating Notre Dame anyway?
Wonder if they can add another to the win column tomorrow?
Conner had that “light bulb moment” against the Irish.
Knows now just how effective he can be by getting lower than the guy trying to tackle him.
That appears to be my option since ESPN3 does not seem to be available to me since I watch TV through DirecTV. And, all of the ACC channels are showing VA Tech or NC State. $20+ is not a big deal, but it is a ripoff.
So, I guess that the chances of the dancing vid being shown on the Heinz Field big screen are slim. Too bad. Would really light up the students and other Pitt fans. Could only help the team.

Please, please, please, show me that Pitt can bring it on full throttle two weeks in a row, resulting in another win. IMO, it would do much towards creating a paradigm shift in the sterotypic “the same old Pitt” attitudes that have been entrenched around here for way too long. (Sorry to admit it, but I just don’t “believe” just yet that we’re seeing the New Pitt Panthers yet).
Prove to me that I’m wrong, please show me the errors of my ways, I want to beleive, I do.
Hail to Pitt, make me a believer tomorrow!
BTW, Pitt2Cali, very funny!

Isn’t Mark Meyers, John Carroll’s QB ?
Chris James, RB out of Illinois. Chose the Panthers over Wisconsin and Michigan State (to name a few).

“After misfiring on a few passes early, Myers was virtually flawless the rest of the afternoon. He completed 31 of 42 passes for 387 yards and three touchdowns. ”
And to think we had Tiny the Magnificent.
Maybe he liked PC’s funky chicken dance. 🙂

Plus as we’ve seen over the years, sometimes these kids come in and are recruited for one position and end up at another position.
And yes it’s too soon on the mind change as well.
However, during scrimmages he’s all business like we see on gameday.
Paul Chryst is just one of those people who really don’t care what the media or fans think of him. For him the sole reason he is at PITT is to be a good HC for the players and his staff, everything else is just fluff.
He isn’t a stick in the mud really, but unlike others (especially his predecessor) he won’t talk just to talk and especially won’t talk about himself.
