Sorry about the last minute thing. Did a nice long run this morning with my daughter. Got a shower. Had some coffee. Felt good. Sat down for a minute, and promptly fell asleep on the couch. Getting old is something.
Ben DiNucci gets the start at QB. No one (including me) seems to have a problem with this. DiNucci has simply been more of a spark. He’s shown more confidence. And just seemed to be more of the leader on the offensive side. Max Browne simply seemed to lack confidence out there. Especially when Pitt got into the redzone.
Still waiting to see the offensive line gel more. There seems to be a bit of a struggle to stay cohesive.
We’ll see if the Pitt defense can be more disciplined. There’s definitely more pressure on the defense to show something more. They’ve faced two straight top-10 offenses, so there is at least a case to be made that the unit is better then it’s shown.

I’m at the game they are barely hanging in but they are in this game, the FG amazed the crowd. If the offense can sustain a few drives and eat the clock maybe. It’s very hot here TOP in the second half will be critical.

No bright spots at all to build upon. Offensive line is a complete mess. Play calling not much better. QB’s look like they are coached to not take any chances. Nothing over the middle.

Our defense is okay but today they missed some assignments, missed some tackles, and played against one if the best offenses in college football.
Like our D our offense is young, had some drops, missed some assignments, and played a really good defensive team. We will get better………..

ROC2, our defense is ok???? GT scored 35 points today. Every team has young players on it, its the nature of the 4 year cycle. Ours are not talented enough to compete period. That along with 3rd rate coaches and this is what you produce.

Poor offensive line play,QBs, dropped balls by receivers RBs like Hall that go nowhere time after time wrong calls for Ollison and an OC that can’t tie his shoes and chew gum at the same time and can’t call plays to suit his personnel. A defense that started out ok but never stopped up the dive play. That’s on the DC.It is a vicious cycle and it starts with the schools lack of investment. Our coaches compensation packages are at the bottom of the barrel of the 140 d1 programs!!!!! We were out coached in this game again. With performances like this you can not recruit and the downward spiral continues.Without special teams and defense our offense has averaged about 8 points per game. We will finish 1/ 11 this year I am sure because I have seen all our opponents play at this time.

Gut the athletic administrators and use the savings to go for coaches. Take a look at the School Athletic department’s web site and look at how many administrators they have on the payroll. Its insane. The AD has hired her former personnel from her last position. “Assistants AD’s , Senior Associate AD’s ” etc. Good God we are in the millions when it comes to administrators. Again, put that money to good use in hiring good coaches and assistants.
