Both mascot heads on the right and the left in this photo are looking better than our current ROC Mascot that we have on the main campus, I’m sorry to say. But then again, the guys in the middle look like some weird combinations of dogs, Teddy Bears & some scared wide eyed creature of unknown origin . Those two are supposed to be Panthers as well???

HCPN … on The Fan right now. Mentioned that the first 4 games this year will be against a spread offense. Yes, even PSU is changing to the spread (hopefully a lot of growing pains … but they still have Barkley.)

He mentioned that the offense will show a few new looks. Still smash-mouth but will use different sets that opponents haven’t seen before, and hope to better use some of the assets.
Praised Weah but mentioned there are other WRs that will contribute. Also mentioned RBs Hall and Fr Moss.

I thought Knight wanted to get head coaching experience at a lower level school for development of his potential? So why take an assistant position at a lower level school? How does that help? I’m not saying he doesn’t have a plan, just don’t understand what it is…

If it’s a selfie which one took the picture?

My Rutgers friends keep asking me about Knight. I tell them they really lucked out.

Knight could end up stepping into the head coach spot a Rutgers. Could have been a shrewd move.
How is it that Johnstown has a more updated Roc then we do in the Burgh. Roc is looking old and tired.

Knight can really connect now with NYC/NJ coaches and network plus get a different perspective of coaching. If he does a get an HC job in the near future, it would probably be with St Peter, Manhattan or something like that … but at least it would be HC experience.

Rutgers goes through head coaches like the rest of us change shirts. Brandin is counting on the new guy having an equally short tenure. The longest tenured coach since their last NCAA appearance (1991!!) lasted only 5 years.
We have a staffer who is a RU alum and whose brother is a junior there. They are very excited to have Knight on the staff. Good for Brandon and…
H2P!!!

Yeah but… It’s true Knight’s recruiting in an area that fits him better, but he’s still an assistant at a crappy program, not sure how that beats staying put, unless he just needed a change of scenery and felt spurned (which I could understand). I guess I had him pegged for a HC job at a smaller school; waiting for the next Rutgers coach to get fired could take another 3 years. Maybe he stays at Rutgers one year, then bolts to a smaller northeastern HC position?
Anyway, I guess no tv or internet viewing for the Spring game?

OK, I just called the athletic dept., and found out the game will not be televised OR be on the internet… I don’t understand that….????

Nice to see Knight headed home. Too bad it is to such a bogus program. I hope he finds success and helps them return to respectability.
