It is now T-27h 30m until Military Pub Crawl muster and we Blatherites better get serious about where we want to meet on both Sunday and then again on gameday Monday for the guys who aren’t getting to Annapolis until the day of the game. Here is the weather report as of this writing.
Sunday: 69º/44 º Cloudy 20% Rain 13 mph wind 89% Humidity
Sunday: 46º/39 º Cloudy 10% Rain 13 mph wind 62% Humidity
On Sunday I’ll be checking into the O’Gallagher Hotel at around noon and will probably take it easy, have a big lunch and watch the Steelers-Ravens game that afternoon. That game should end around 4:00 so… I suggest that we Blatherites meet at the Ram’s Head Tavern at 4:00 for the official “Pitt Blather Meet & Greet” and get a bit of a head start on all the other 7000+ Pitt fans who will be crawling in Annapolis that evening also.
On gameday our commenter friend Dan 72 is going to be at the Alumni Tent at 12:00 noon. That sounds like a good place to start pre-gaming and I’ll try to make it there at the same time. One thing to note that the Navy-Marines Memorial stadium isn’t that big nor are the parking lots surrounding it. I would think everyone will be able to find their friends, tailgates, etc… without too much problem.
Here is a list of who is doing what and when:
Blatherite | Days in Naptown | Hotel | Seats |
Reed K. | 27th am – 28th post game | O’callaghans | Sec 127B – Row 1 #1 -2 Row 2 #11-12 |

For anyone who misses the rest of us earlier I’ll wander over to the “Will Call Gate” at around 1:00 pm … I’ll be the tall (6’6″) guy with a mustache, earring and a US Coast Guard ballcap on.
Here are some latest updates on the parking situation… and here is what I do when I go down for a Navy game:
Harry S Truman Park and Ride, Harry S Truman Parkway & Riva Road, will open at 7 a.m. The Annapolis Bus Company will offer a free shuttle to and from the stadium until 7 p.m. Here is a google map to help out.
Please remember to get to the Park n’ Ride early as there are a lot of spaces but they will fill up fast. The shuttle buses are free and leave pretty often. It is about a 5-10 minute ride but to me this is by far the best
HOSPITALITY
The Pitt Alumni Association will be hosting a Military Bowl Pregame Tailgate prior to kickoff. More details to be announced soon. Here is the Association’s webpage with some details…

PITT REALLY IS IT! ONE year anniversary today and have to say the best decision and year I’ve ever had. Blessed to be the HFC at PITT.
Navy 28
HTP!
This is a GOOD Pitt Team even minus Conner. Peterman has been a BIG UPGRADE at QB.
Pitt has a REAL CHALLENGE tomorrow. But if somehow they WIN… it will put Pitt and Narduzzi on the map!!
Hence Rivera at Carolina who, looking back… should have been the Steelers’ CHOICE instead of Tomlin.
Some day, he will make a nice coach – intense, focused and a PITT grad.
Can we start the psu $u€k$ cheer tomorrow?
Neither one was Franklinstein.
Beat Navy!
Need to keep the Navy blockers away from their legs. Strong hand play keeps that from happening. Hit their qb hard every time. You can’t use the Army tape as a reference. Navy and Army were both so pumped up that they didn’t play their normal disciplined game. A true rivalry.
If Jarrett is on his “A” game, it becomes a statement for him kicking off next year. The stage is yours, now keep your discipline and beat your guy….every play.
I like Pitt in this game 28-27.
H2P
I have no idea which team will win Monday, but Im leaving a winner either way.
Great night! I have no idea who will win later today – HTP!!!
I’d rather have Franklin go after our targets than our commits like he did last year when he flipped 2 of our long time commits in the final weeks leading up to LOI day. That’s not to say that he is not trying to flip any right now, or will try as LOI approaches …. all is fair in love and war (and recruiting).
Heck, we have done our share of flipping recently
Ollison and the Tights Ends have a monster day.
Price and company pound Reynolds.

Ask some coaches, they will tell you the real recruiting begins after a kid verbals to a school.
Sanders
All those Rutgers flips
Ffrench
Everyone and anyone is fair game, until LOI
A lot of the big locals have had plenty of time to verbal to their home school. They have not. Most likely, we still have a chance at 1 one of them.
If PSU sweeps the board, we risk losing the big locals next year as well, that includes kids like Wade, Adams and current Pitt verbal Ford.
PITT fans are everywhere. Terrible towels at our seats when we arrived with the wording “Pitt is it!”
PITT looks much bigger than navy in pre-game warm-ups. Wearing all white – navy with their new style “ship paintings” on their blue helmets.
Time to scrape the paint and sink the Midshipmen.
HTP!
Totally confident in Pitt tomorrow and our terrific HC and staff ( now that Chaney is gone)
