Henry Miller in Florida was supposed to announce his decision at 7 pm tonight. George Hill in Ohio was going to be at 2 pm. Instead, both made it known at about the same time.

Good times. Good day.
MacVittie has been nothing short of sensational this year playing against solid competition.
It appears we may only have two spots left to fill with this class unless more transfers happen or next year’s RS Sr’s are asked to move on with their life’s work.
I predict D.Hamlin and J.Winfree will fill those final two slots. Playing time is available to both right away in 2016 and they both know it. The same cannot be said at nd and tOSU. HCPN will also find a way to fit one of the DT’s into this class if he can –
Beat Navy.
HTP!
Don’t think that 9 wins won’t mean a thing to these recruits. A rush edge LB is a REAL area of need here.
I was busy at work, fought the holiday traffic on my ride home listening to talk radio and hearing how our Federal gov’t passed an outrageous spending bill that will also allow 300,000 Syrian refugees into the U.S. in 2016.
The Pitt recruiting news was refreshing to receive when I got home last evening. After a good night’s sleep, I’m ready to celebrate Christmas, defeat ISIS(L), balance the Federal budget and build a fence around our boarders.
Instead, I’ll celebrate Christmas, prepare my business for 2016 (and beyond) and plan my trip to Annapolis to watch Pitt defeat #21 Navy.
It’s beginning to look a lot like 1973, everywhere you go.
Yes, we’re not in the Top 25 but a lot of high end talent fusing with many returnees from an 8 or 9 win team, including ACC offensive and defensive newcomers of the year, provides us much to look forward to.
H2P! Beat Davidson and Navy!
He and Damon Wilson are a start … but of course need a few more

Maybe JD can keep the DeMatha pipeline flowing.
The Blair years were built the same way fellas. Blair, Sam Young, Fields, Biggs … all 50-100 talent.
Jaime’s going back to his roots and the program will be fine. Unlike college football there are a lot less good teams in college basketball. Once you get outside the top 8 there is a ton of parity.
Further, we have been advised that Diallo, Swanigan and a few others were a big possibility; thus, I cannot help believe that a 3-star PF who was never mentioned in company of all of the aforementioned actually enrolls here and proves to be better than first thought … then we can count our blessings.
My less than screaming joy isn’t based on anything Narduzzi and staff is or isn’t doing – it is really my natural ambivalence to all recruiting classes until they prove their worth on the field.
Of all aspects of college football recruiting is head and shoulders filled with more variables and risks than any other aspect of the game.
…time and place, yeah know….
…right now we are still gather around it eating our marshmallows and drinking Koolaid…
That said, it is the lifeblood of college football; you have to acknowledge the importance of the process, if not the individual players.
George Hill may never wear a Pitt uniform. But anticipating that he might – and in glorious fashion – is fun. Hope…is fun.
Head coaches top three jobs……..
1. Recruit
2. Recruit
3. Recruit
What?t gets me is the guys who take that road – until they see that the only schools that were offering one of our guys were MAC and/or less. Then those “wait n see” guys come out of the wood work and blast the selection. I like your consistency!
I’m excited about this staff’s enthusiasm and never-say-die approach to their recruiting. I really believe we are starting to see the future of HCPN’s recruiting abilities. I’m not at all surprised, as I have always believed there is no way he could have been as successful as he was at MSU if he wasn’t able to get the studs he thought could benefit his system.
I’m not so concerned with stars or national recruiting ranking. I’m most concerned that the staff is getting the players they really want\need to put their best product on the field week in and week out. Having seen now for a year the make up of this staff, I completely trust their judgement. It is hard for me to contain my joy as I see things unfold. I plan on remaining optimistic until such time as play on the field gives me reason to slump back into my 60’s and 90’s shell!!
Pat Narduzzi is driving the bus. I willingly got aboard, happily paid my emotional fare, and am riding where ever he takes me! Personally, I think it’s going to be a helluva ride! And I’m going to enjoy every minute of it I can!!!
The unanswered question for each of them is whether that transfers to the college level. For some it does and for others it doesn’t. The critical point is the college coaches as talent evaluators. This is where I think Narduzzi is strong. It is early in the sample size, but I think he gets football players first and good kids, second.
The main difference in my opinion between this class and prior Chryst classes is that our current verbals don’t show offers from Harvard and Yale for the most parts. They have Power 5 offers and some are significant. Is that a precursor to off the field issues, we just don’t have the sample size yet, but these kids seem grounded, at least to me. Time will tell.
Welcome to George Hill and Henry Miller! We are happy to have you!
I am going cold on Winfree for one reason only. Decisioning. He has Colorado in his final three. If football is most important in your life, Colorado is not the place for you.
Let’s go hunt!
Come on. Go all in. Have fun. It’s the first time in a long time that Pitt fans have been able to get excited over something the football team does.
The team is taking on the personality of the coach. The fans should too … and more of us are. You hold outs are missing out. The tempered excitement is for SOP.
In order to get results on the field, you need recruiting buzz. Pitt has it. Right now. And the 2017 class is looking better than this class.
It’s about momentum and buzz and energy. All three of those were never mentioned with Chryst. Not once. Ever.
That’s the difference.
And Reed, you really should check out Ffrench. Unranked to 3 star with the results of a 4 star.
Pitt needs all the positive energy it can get…
Where are u sitting in Annapolis?
Meant Ohio on Hill and Miller may stick but only a 3 star. Hill will probably change his mind again for the 2nd time.
Welcome aboard fellas. The ride will be awesome and your personal journey is what you make of it. Wanna play at the next level, duzzi will lead you there. Keep your nose clean and your mind sharp. I like how this class is coming together.
