Here is some good news for PITT football hungry fans… This is what I talked about a week or so ago when asked if the Spring Game was going to be televised. EJ Borghetti emailed me with these plans but I waited until contracts were formalized to do the broadcasts.
Another new innovation from your university’s Media Department. BTW – The Blather may be expanding into another venue shortly, will keep all informed.
Now someone tell me what “Root Sports” is. Funny thing – I don’t think Verizon carries Root Sports where I live. I’ll ask and see if the Shows’ videos will be available via the PITT Live Wire website.

If you do have a form of it there, it would cover local teams. Like I said I think it exists in most markets( may not be called Root). I would be stunned if it carried anything Pitt. May have similar show covering Terps.

Real good watch. Anyone here in Western PA with Root, have to watch. Assuming Pitt Live Wire will put it on youtube for those that aren’t in the area.
A lot of the practice footage most of us have seen via the links Reed”s provided us. There are sit down interviews with host Rob King we have not seen. This staff is just so much more comfortable with the media than previous. Overall, Root does a real good job with it and creates a positive vibe with this new staff moving forward. For those familiar with him, Rob King is host and does a good job for this channel. Hosts a lot of Bucco and Pens post game shows.
Root Sports reaches a lot of homes. A lot of fringe Pitt fans will get an inside look at this new staff. So definitely worth the watch and good exposure for the Pitt football program…
I sit around a group of guys, we’ve got to know each other and our section makes noise. Still far too many yellow seats for most games in our section. Needmore asses in the seats! There are people out there waiting for Pitt to give them a reason to show up. An amazingly almost .500 record over the last 30 yrs ain’t gonna do it…
