Just watch in awe.
This 2004 commercial has haunted my dreams since Pitt to the ACC was announced back in 2011. Thanks so much to HokieTapes for sharing.
What I can’t decide is if I want a remake for 2013 or if I fear such an event.
#goacc
The music and voice of the guy is just awful.
F-
Goes to show, someone making some big money somewhere, and that’s the best they could come up with??
I’m not even a creative person. The mascots work. How about on grass at a stadium. How about a deep John Facenda type voice, with music building to a crescendo. Have mascots lined up on either side of tunnel, drums beating, getting louder, and the new mascots come out.
I did better and had more ideas in a minute than that thing they “produced”.
FWIW, Big Ten going to 9 games starting in 2016.
Actually I am being cavalier when I say it was downright demonic.
I’m giving up now. It’s like trying to catch a tiger by the tail.
Seriously, the time is now for all NCAA BCS schools to stop playing non-BCS Schools. I think that Conference TV Networks will eventually push the leagues to 10 game schedules. Frankly, I would rather play FSU, Clemson, and all of the other Atlantic Division teams not named Syracuse, more than once every six years, than Bowling Green and YSU with an 8 game league schedule. With a 10 game schedule we would play the Atlantic Div teams once every other year.
(vision clarifying)
13 annual games and 10 conf. games.
Only way to actually have some conf. teams you play every lightyear or so.
With all the down time between last regular season game and bowl games, can easily squeeze a 13th game in there.
That way we can play Wake Forest more often 🙂
It seems to be quite alright in 21rst century America to be anti-Catholic. And nobody is held accountable. Actually I think promoting it and the ppl that are promoting it are hypocrites and deserve exactly what they reap.
Then have two spots for a rival, two rivals, or play someone else from a BCS conference.
You would still get 6 home, 6 away.
Now, you wouldn’t get the 7th game. I believe, without any stats to back me up, that 6 strong home games, would get you almost, if not more attendance, than 5 strong home games, and two games against Delaware and YSU.
All of the above reasons you guys gave are excellent. Strength of schedule, playing the teams every couple years instead of 5 or 6. Saves money, keeps money in the conference.
Now, if you told me, it will take away from exciting games from teams across the country we could play. We all know that’s not true.
Pretty much standard. Conf games, 2 half-decent, 2 cupcakes.
I’m done with cupcakes.
I totally agree and that post was an affront on many different levels.
Off topic, but anyone remember Mike Bamiro? (I don’t)It seems he is generating NFL interest:
“Bamiro thought he was going to be playing for Stony Brook this fall but the NCAA denied his application for a 6th year, thus ending his college eligibility. Bamiro enrolled at Pittsburgh in 2008 but did not play football. After a year at Pitt he decided he wanted to play football and transferred to Stony Brook where two brothers had attended. Under NCAA rules, a player has five years to get in his four years of eligibility so the 2012 season was Bamiro’s 5th year in college and his last year of eligibility. In reality he was a member of last April’s draft class and because he was not drafted then he is free to sign with any team.”
