Let’s keep it simple. Here’s what we take away from this game:
It doesn’t show up on Pitt’s March resume as a “bad loss.”
That’s it. It was bad. It was ugly. It was sloppy. It still goes in the books as a win.
The dissecting will come later. For now, just glad not to be seething over an inexplicable loss.
Talk about a bad shooting game, one of the worst shooting games from both teams I’ve seen and that I actually watched the whole game. If it hadn’t have been Pitt, I would have switched channels to watch a Gilligan’s Island rerun.
That game should have been a rout in the first half, we walked into the place with PITT up 11-6 and I’m not kidding you, they didn’t score another point for like 20 minutes in real time maybe 30 minutes. How can you miss so many shots.
And the junk they were throwing up around the hoop, one hand scoop shots, underhand shots just wishing the shot would go in. It was worse than a 10 year old YMCA game. If I was Coach I would have pulled the whole team, and just put a whole new 5 guys in. Yes it was THAT BAD !
I’m just glad SH went totally stone cold in the last 5 minutes and PITT was able to win.
We play like that, and it will be one & done in the BE tourney and the Big Dance.
until today.
Palm has them as a #7. Also up from #8 (and off of Palm’s bubble).
I think this has more to do with how this team has been performing, rather than how others are(or are not).
Glad to see folks like Lunardi and Palm are aware that Pitt is pretty good.
And they are improving.
