Ugh. One of those days where there was too much to do and not enough time. Add in the Coaching Carousel craziness and keeping an eye out for the next disaster and it has been a day.
So the City Game tonight should be a welcome distraction. Even if I’ve done zilch to talk about it.
Gametime is 7pm at the Con. Being shown on ESPN3.com.
We’ll see how the front court does tonight. We all know a zone is coming. Will it take them nearly a half to adjust or will they bust it right away?
What are they showing instead, Cheers, Friends, REal Housewives of NJ or I Love Lucy reruns ?
Let’s Go Pitt !
Beat the Dukes !
Also, noticed this, I make sure I have all other windows closed.
A computer geek may tell me that has nothing to do with it. Just saying what I do. And it comes back perfect.
Just don’t like sitting in front of the computer watching it, don’t have a lazy boy there!! LOL
As I used to go to the game all the time with one of my old DU GF’s who lived in Cricklewood. lol
Which rhymes with tickle __ wood.
Those were the days my friends, I’d thought they never end…….
Hail to Pitt !
Veritas et Virtus !
GRP !
In the first half especially, sounded like there were a lot of quick shots, particularly long balls, and that Pitt was lucky Duquesne was equally as terrible with its shooting.
Good for Adams to have a strong game, particularly on the boards.
Against better competition going to need Moore and Ziegler to make substantial contributions.
Ferry said shame on both WVU and Pitt for not playing every year.
Dixon said Pitt can’t schedule home and away series in basketball because of the budget. I’ll ignore the fact that they have in the past. But even if that’s true, once Pitt is in the ACC revenue increases a bunch, which means home and away series are back. Although, I’d take a home and away against a teams such as Georgetown before WVU. You’d think Dixon would also be able to convince Callipari to bring his team back to his hometown area once in a while.
I think Dixon said even when they go to the ACC they still won’t be able to home and away because of the expanded conference schedules…(18 games).
Not just the pre season NIT’s or Maui Invitationals either.
And we can’t??????????
But Pitt is just doing what all the other schools are doing ..Syracuse has one true nonconf away game and that was BE SEC challenge. UConn has none…Cinn has one away game at Marshall.
ND none..Now NorthCarolina goes to Texas and Long Beach St..along with ACC/B10 challenge and Maui but they probably get quite a bit more money for each of their home games that allows them to do that.
WVU plays a number of away games as well..they only play 5 nonconf games in Morgantown..not sure how they make it work.
Allthough, just tonight, Xavier hosted Vanderbilt in Cincinnati. Checked on it when I saw it. Vanderbilt did in fact host Xavier last year.
I just happened to be flipping the remote, 1st one I came too.
Not arguing with you or being sarcastic. I do believe you are correct.
Most schools are that way.
I wonder what changed. Just the budgets getting tighter???
We had home and homes with Wisconsin, Ohio State, Washington and Georgia as recently as 04, 5, 6, 7.
Allthough I agree with you, some teams still do it, so, I fall in the category of spiritofsection22.
How about taking a little hit one year and throwing us a bone.
Been pretty loyal hoops fans for the last 12 years at the Pete, and many of before that.
Hey, charge me double for that one game. I’d pay double for that one game against a top 20 power conference team.
Built in excuse next year with the move to the ACC.
“Well, we have Duke and NC State and Wake Forest and Virginia coming in.”
Ya, we know, but those are conference games now.
Hey, I don’t much to bitch about Pitt hoops for the last 12 years.
That’s the one thing.
