Good morning. Here is video of Tyler Palko in 2004 (via @PantherLair).
I can’t believe I’ve been misquoting it all these years.
As Palko said later, “”It’s easier for Notre Dame fans to be mad at me for saying the F word. They should be mad at me for throwing five touchdown passes.”
Now, is the time for some other players to step and in and make it a game of a lifetime for themselves, and the team.
Injuries, sminjuries, half the 120 D1 teams can probably claim, “I can’t believe we have lost this many guys”.
Yes, we’ve been hit hard, Notre Dame could care less about that, and no one will care about it next week.
Time to get pumped brothers!!!!! It’s your time!!!! Step in and make a name for yourselves!!!
Intimidated my ass!!!!!!! Intimidate them!!!!!!!!
Raaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
This would be a chance to redeem ourselves on national tv and grab national headlines.
That is nothing, nothing compared to what Mark Weibe said on a senior (excuse me) champions tour event last weekend. Google Mark Weibe.
Anyway, that was a fun game.
I concur with Dan, time for some Pitt guys to make names for themselves.
44 Deg, off and on showers for Sat aft. in South Bend.
“waning gibbous”.
The triple OT game was an awesome experience, too — with the sprinklers, and all — but that Palko game just felt better overall. Like Pitt actually earned it, and it wasn’t a fluke. He couldn’t be stopped that day.
Here is to history repeating itself this weekend…Hail To Pitt!
“It’s easier for Notre Dame fans to be mad at me for saying the F word. They should be mad at me for throwing five (fu*king) touchdown passes”.
As I stated in a previous post, ND is beatable. I’d rather have ND this week than Alabama, Kansas State, Oregon or LSU. This is an uphill fight and everything has to go Pitt’s way for the upset but as usual, That’s Why They Play The Games.
GO PITT!
@ Dish – Wish I could have seen you run into Walt. I was actually on the front of the goalpost after we tore it down. Everybody was just standing there holding it and nobody seemed to know what to do next so i yelled “South Oakland!” and we all started charging towards the open tunnel. We were about 50 ft from it when the two rows of mounted police came charging towards us and that’s about when when we dropped the goalposts and decided it was a better idea to try to tear up the turf, ahh to be an undergrad.
Here’s to our O-Line knocking some people’s helmets off.
