This is the final time for actually caring having a vested interest in the results of preseason Big East polls.
The Preseason teams and individual honors and predicted outcome for the season were offered. On the individual honors and All-Big East teams,
Steven Adams was picked as the “Preseason Rookie of the Year.” There are a lot of national expectations and curiosity about the Kiwi Phenom.
On the preseason All-Big East teams, Travon Woodall was named to the “Honorable Mention” (third team) squad. He was the only Pitt player on any of the squad. So start firing up the “no one believes in us,” meme.
The preseason player of the year was Louisville’s Peyton Siva. Probably for much the same reason that Ashton Gibbs was named last year: no clue among the returning players to give it to. I think I might have picked Georgetown’s Otto Porter.
As for the preseason Big East Coaches Poll. Pitt placed a close 6th behind the Hoyas. The top-5 was Louisville, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Cinci and Georgetown.

14. Seton Hall | 42 |

First-place votes in parentheses
I consider it a minor upset that DePaul was picked for 13th this year. They should be better this year, but to see them not picked for last is still a sight.
but it is good to be so low then you can sneak
up on them.
but it wont suprise me if we end up # 2
we will have a good year this year unless there are key players hurt.
I think at least 24 wins and maybe the final 8
when all is said and done.
Zeigler, Robinson, Adams are GTGs such as we haven’t seen in a while. Brandin, Brad and Chevy respectively come to mind but our new players are bigger and stronger and more aggressive.
And there’s still Sleepy to count on for D.
I would think #3…
I am a little more optimistic: on the OOC–thinking 12-1; BE regular 14-4 for a 26-5 floor. So if we make the elite 8 the final record would be 29-6.
but i think bye the end we will be clicking on all cilnders and go to final 8
That is what it is worth. Squat.
In basketball, the final scores and wins and losses actually matter.
