There’s not much to write at this point that I haven’t written before in the introductions for these games. Pitt is still in desperate need of a win. Not simply playing better. Not having a good effort. A win. Any way. Any how. Just find a way to win. I don’t care if the refs are bribed.
Hopefully Woodall is feeling better and got some more rust off his shot. Hopefully someone stood behind J.J. Moore during practice and tased him if he pulled up for a shot rather than attacking the basket. Maybe someone will lie to Talib Zanna and tell him that he slept through the first half so he’ll play more like he has been playing in the second half of games.
The game is on Root, along with MSG2, MASN, Altitude, Brighthouse, ESPN FullCourt and ESPN3.com starting at 7pm.
The liveblog rules should be familiar to all by now. It is a moderated chat. I realize how hard it is not to lose it these days, but insanity doesn’t do much for anyone. The abusive will find themselves blocked. Repetitive comments will be ignored.

Otherwise, it is just below:
I hope he has a positive impact on the game, not negative like last game.

So, I take back when I asked for his scholarship to be revoked in mid-December…
Now if we could only muster some defense. Just a little…
PITT WINS!!! PITT WINS!!!
As much as I dislike criticizing players for their play, I have to admit that Taylor is, as Jimbo put it, a bust.
His game IQ is not even at a high school level and apart from being tall, has no physical skills to apply on the court. He can’t shoot, he is frequently out of position on defense, he has a negative vertical jump, he isn’t aggressive and his foul shooting is in the Shaq category.
I would suggest to him that he play elsewhere next year. Sorry Dante, but anyone looking at a game film from this game would label you as a “stiff”.
I agree with putting JJ at the PF spot, but it’s not going small…it’s actually the opposite. JJ is 6’6″ — Nas is 6’5″. I think JJ is working just as hard as Nas, has much more upside, and can actually shoot free throws. I appreciate Nasir’s heart and effort, but he’s just too small to play PF and doesn’t have the skill set to play SF. So, I’d love to see more of Woodall, Giggs, Lamar, JJ, and either Zanna or Gilbert at center.
