Salath Williams, a redshirt freshman WR is done for the year. Like Jason Hendricks, he sustained a season ending right shoulder injury during the Utah game. Unlike Hendricks, I didn’t even know Williams had gotten into the game (special teams?).
Just verifies that many sportscasters are so busy proclaiming their opinions and memories that they fail to report the game at hand. Salath Willians was in the Ytah game briefly. But, who would know? By the way, what is it with the injury ug and Pitt players. Is the equipment faulty? Are the opponents unnecessairily rough? Is their some divine vendetta against the Pittites? Methinks not! It is just the nature of the sport. Other teams have injuries too. Unfortunately, the Panther injuries in 2011 have come in bunches and have been beamed to the populace. Please note, the coaching staff is not bellyaching. They must know that any school that engages in major athletics has to have many and adequate reserves. It takes time to build a winner. It takes sustained recruiting and yes, it tajes loyal and PATIENT fans. Rev. George in Columbus

The only time I remember Williams’ name being called this year was on a few incomplete passes–maybe that explains why he hasn’t been playing much.
