It’s finally returning. ESPN College GameDay returns to the Pete.
ESPN has announced it’s Saturday night/College GameDay schedule for the 2012 season.
The second College GameDay of the season will be Louisville at Pitt on January 21.
It is one of two Big East College GameDay sites this year. The other will be Syracuse at UConn on February 25. Last year, Pitt was at ‘Nova’s College GameDay. This will be Pitt’s fifth time playing at a GameDay site. Pitt is 3-1 on these nights. Pitt hasn’t hosted a College GameDay since the Georgetown game in 2007 — that Pitt won.
Will Ohio State fans show up to boo Mark May? They’d better not.

Football will get a GameDay when the octane level reaches 70 points. Count on the Backyard Brawl next year.

The last time we had Gameday for football was 2004 vs V-Tech right? That was one of the best games ever!

I believe that was 03, the last year VT was in the BE. I also believe the last gameday was 05 opener, 1st game for Wanny vs 1st game for ND Weis .. Pitt defense had no answer that night

BTW, that VT win was one of the best games — big final drive highlighted by (I think) 3 completions from Rutherford to L Fitz, and then L Polite bowling over the VT LB for the winning TD

Last time we had gameday was the first game of the 2005 season – Wanny and Charlie Weiss’ first games after coming from the Pro Game- Most over hyped Pitt team ever. Where is Greg Lee now?
