If you live in the Philly area and/or are planning to go to the Pitt-Nova game on Saturday, you need to go to the Official Pitt Alumni Game Watch at Kelly’s. Or at least stop by and have a beer.
Normally I don’t go out of my way to promote these, but I have to make an exception when the Nova Blog is treating this as a treasonous act. Apparently the fact that the owner is a Nova alum makes it worse. The bar, also happens to be the closest bar to the campus, so by extension to the Pavilion.
Show up, take over the place, and make the economic impact that can only make it worse for the Nova kids.
Can you imagine a Pitt fan wearing down his finger tips blogging upon hearing that Nova fans grabbed a bar in Oakland? No way. Ho f’n hum.
LOL
Main line, shmainline, it’s all the city with a chip on its shoulder to me.
Before I didn’t care about the game’s outcome. Now I want to crush them just to see the look on their fans’ sweaty faces.
I’m disappointed for the people of the Pitt Alumni Chapter in Philly who spent time organizing something positive and had their plans thrown into disarray by some internet tough guy.
Shame on you.
May these Philly a-holes choke on a Pat’s or Gino’s cheesesteak.
Thanks for not being a flaming douchenozzle. Unlike other sports bloggers.
Someone should send an email to the Attorney Generals office and draw attention to this place so that they’ll get busted for serving minors, which they more than likely do.
In fact I have a cousin who is a Major in the State Police stationed over by Philly. He owes me a few favors, perhaps a State Patrol car stationed outside of this place would provide some crowd control.
Fabulous, but I hope ND loses in OT.
But ND is a team that doesn’t deserve to be in the Big East.
They’d be zero without the BE. Kick ’em out.
As someone mentioned above, Philadelphia and Villanova aren’t necessarily the same thing, except when they want to be. Depending on who you’re talking to and what mood they’re in, Villanova is a Philly team or it’s some lame suburban school.
I’ve been to Kelly’s. It’s a nice place. I’d like to go there if they’ll have Pitt fans, but if not, it’s their loss. I’ll drink elsewhere.
Also, the Spurs are in town playing the Sixers on Friday night. So Philly area Pitt alumni, we’ve got a great chance to see Dejuan Blair in action.
Let’s hope they go 3 OTs, and really tire all those Wildcats!
Villanova goes down. Makes my night.
Rutgers was down 15 with 3 minutes left and 10 with 2 and change. Un f in believable…now that Pitt close game at the RAC doesn’t seem so bad.
Pitt can exorcize a lot of demon’s Saturday at 9.
I will be there@
Oh well…let’s hope the Wildcats are so severly depressed by the loss that they implode against Pitt!
Once RU’s fouls piled up at the beginning of the 2nd half it was over.
Now at Fox & Hound in King of Prussia.
