For all intents and purposes this is for the Big East Championship. A PITT win means UCONN needs to win out and PITT lose to Cincy for Connecticut to go to the BCS.
Game starts slightly after noon on ABC. I’ll open it up just before that.

So i read an article in the Morgantown paper: The local Baptist church had to cancel plans to have a live nativity scene…the reason: In all of West Virginia they couldn’t find 3 wise men and a virgin!

Don’t rule out a Pitt win, UCONN winning out, and Pitt losing to Cincy. It would be easy to have a letdown after a win in the brawl, and it would maximize fan frustration.

In the same vein, Spanky—the same subject: love and hate. I too, love ya, Wanny. You are a good and decent human being. You deserve better than you are receiving. Better from the players?Of course. Better from the spoiled Steeler fans who expect professional skills from college students? Obviously. And certainly better from a certain sports editorialist whose venomous verbage I, quite frankly find offensive. The worst enemy of Panther sports over my 55 years of observation has been the home town media and this season’s has topped the list. Coach Wannstedt, whom I do not know personally may or may not be a gifted gridiron mentor, but I would rather play for him than many other football “teachers” who make larger salaries and enjoy better environments. Best wishes Coach Wannstedt in whatever the future holds. And to the local “judge” who seems to make every column a put down: “the same to you in spades, Sir. Rev. George,Columbus, Ohio
