A feature on Gibbs in USA Today on how he has been one of the go-to guys for Pitt. For some reason it seems a surprise to reporters that Pitt wants to make a deep run. What? You think they were going to play a “happy to be here” card?
The game is scheduled for roughly 2:45. We will see if it goes that way.

Probably not best to ask a bunch of Pitt homers. Everyone fluctuates between pie-in-the-sky and the-sky-is-falling.
My only advice would be not to bet on the game yourself. I did it for an early non-con game last year (Siena I think), and when they won without covering it felt like a loss.
HTP!!!
Personally, I think Pitt will win, but not sure about the cover.
Let’s go PITT!
That’s my unprofessional opinion. BTW, had I bet on Pitt, I’m convinced I’d have cause another BE team to gout out in the first round!)
I know he’s only 6’6″, but does it seem like there might be opportunities at times to get him the ball in a post-up type position along the baseline, like they used to do with Young? Give him the choice to consider a turnaround, or, if he chooses, go face up? Just something to get him some more touches closer to the hoop and the opportunity to create, particularly early in the game. Feel like his first few shots are always 3 balls, and if he misses one or two, he never gets going, or he never even looks to shoot and ends up with a big freakin’ goose egg.
My friend all went with Pitt, to cover. They largely thought that Oakland played in a lousy conference, and that made them a lousy team. I like to think Pitt forced them to play lousy.
I like your thinking better than your friends’. That could have easily been a tight game with the way the refs were calling it. Pitt adjusted well and turned it into a rout.
Regardless, your friends should be happy that they won money thanks to Pitt. Enjoy Vegas!
As the saying goes–good coaches win; GREAT coaches cover (the spread)
Bring on Xavier!
