Some good news via Andy Katz’s Twitter.
Pitt coach Jamie Dixon said Monday that Jermaine Dixon (broken foot) should be healthy enough by the CBE in Kansas City later this month.
That means that the x-rays came back as expected and he rehab will be on track.
The guys at the Troy Nunes blog are reporting via Twitter that Syracuse WR Mike Williams has quit the team.
Up on their blog now as well…
The good thing is that they have a lot of talented players, and playing time has a way of sorting itself out. In other words, the guys who “get it” sooner will pick up the minutes, and if a player stops producing, there will be other guys to get a chance.
Thankfully, the game is early and I expect our young guns will learn a lot from this game.
Young scored his first points of the season last night in a 133-123 loss to Denver. He had seven points in 10 minutes of playing time in what was his third game of the season.
Young is averaging 9.7 minutes a game, which is ninth among Memphis players.
The team’s top draft choice, Hasheem Thabeet of Connecticut, also is progressing slowly. He’s played in two games and has two points and is averaging 12.4 minutes.
