Another jam-packed weekend of crap to do. Just getting the links.
Scrimmage, scrimmage, scrimmage. Effective list of the key remaining positional battles on the two-deep.
Cat Basket roughly predicts the final two-deep.
Good Q&A question about the secondary.
Those headaches of Nate Byham still haven’t gone away. Now referred to as concussion-like symptoms.
Practices have been brutal, but they are football players and always swear by them afterwards. Lots of bumps and bruises. More concerned with the fact that Shayne Hale apparently had a concussion and a couple others get listed with “headache.”
Plus he’s a QB to boot.
Doesn’t mean that he can’t develop the throwing skills, I guess.
I would wonder why any QB with that type of game would consider Pitt, where there isn’t any history of knowing how to use a mobile QB. Even with Rutherford, the staff’s first goal was to put 50 lbs on him (he needed some, no doubt) and make him a pocket passer and that made sense if the goal was to turn him into an NFL prospect.
The thing is that there are a lot of ways to win college football games without dropback quarterbacks. I guess the fact that Pitt is looking at QBs like Gray and Gonzalez means that they might run them some in the future? Very hard for me to believe……..
I did see Gonzales win the state last year and was pretty impressed …. please note that Pitt freshmen receiver, Devin Street, also played in that game as one Gonzales’ prime targets.
