Looks like Coach Jamie Dixon is right there to land one more player for the recruiting class. Kevin Parrom, out from his Xavier commit is down to either following Sean Miller to Arizona or Pitt.
Xavier, to whom he originally committed, and Virginia Tech are no longer in the mix.
“Yeah,” Parrom wrote in a text message.
The 6-6 Parrom, a New York native playing at South Kent (Conn.), will decide after taking an official to Arizona this weekend. Former Xavier coach Sean Miller and assistant Book Richardson are now at Arizona.
“Sometime next week,” Parrom said of his decision.
Parrom is ranked 88th overall by Scout.com as a 4-star SF and 86th by Scouts, Inc./ESPN.com.
When it was clear that Woodall wasn’t going to get any time last year, the staff should have been chasing depth at PG for the coming season.
I just wish we were talking about a scholarship candidate who could come in and help next year, rather than another wing who won’t see the court for at least a year or two.
Book did play at Pitt-Johnstown…Very good point guard…was one of the leaders in assists in DII when he played and lead a couple of very good teams. A very good, likeable and approachable guy…always had a smile and I am not surprised at his career path and I certainly see him as a great recruiter/leader/coach.
Idiots.
This will not affect the team. We have amazing depth on the defensive line and as for WR, Porter was a ghost most of the time. Still, bad apples will rot and stink. Better for them to go now then wait until we have a key road game and they throw a bitch fit.
