I took a while but I finally figured out why the Jets hired Cavanaugh. They wanted to get rid of Favre and they new Cav’s offense would scare him away without an ugly parting like in Green Bay.

There is a rumor on ESPN that the Jets may be interested in Kyle Boller — who at least has a strong arm.
