It’s not the official Big East All-Conference team. Instead it is the Big East media version as voted upon by beat writers for the various BE teams. Pitt didn’t have the most players selected. That would be Cinci with 8 players selected. Pitt and with WVU each had 4 players selected. Two of Pitt’s players were unanimous selections. I’m pretty sure you can guess which from the list of players: Nate Byham, LeSean McCoy, Scott McKillop and Conor Lee.
Byham missed by one vote being unanimous, suggesting that it wasn’t the greatest year in the BE for TEs — not that Byham isn’t a very good player, but his numbers are 18 catches for 250 yards and 1 TD. Not exactly eye-popping.
McCoy and McKillop also were voted the Big East Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year by the BE media.
But that drive Shady had against WVU, that’s just taking the team on your back and saying we are winning this.
I have some question…. Can Pitt be successful next year with Stull, Bostick or Tino at QB? What future QB recruiting options do we have available? The word that I am hearing is that Paul Jones is a VERY VERY Long shot. Actually, he may be closer to PSU (His Mom went there).
We need a legit QB. The offensive and Defensive line will be INCREDIBLE.
Is Max gruder the next zach thomas? How does the linebacker core look?
Do we have help coming in the secondary? I like Dom and Scooter at safeties but what about corners…. Is Walls still going back to ND?
Future Running backs.. Is burns another billy west with Henry blocking for him?
Great Great Year. I hope win can keep the intensity and finish this year strong witha win against OSU.
Let build some more momentum
Hail to Pitt….

i will say that gray moves will. I think he may project to safety but could be a very good qb by his junior year.
Leaving Houston to come ot pittsburgh is a stretch.
I guess it depends how how a coaching staff looks at the TE position. On some teams he’s more a receiver, and on other teams he’s more an OL. On PITT his primary duties are to block for McCoy. To see a panel of selectors who recognize the TE for contributions in that area is unusual.
