I have to say I had a feeling. Apparently LeSean McCoy and Scott McKillop can’t win the Big East Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week Award every week.
Instead the Big East went with USF’s Matt Grothe and Rutgers’ linebacker Ryan D’Imperio.
I suppose I have no big problem with D’Imperio getting the defensive award, since they shut down UConn’s Donald Brown for a whole half. And even though the real reason for the Rutgers win was UConn’s kicking game — 3 misses out of 4 including a game winner in the final minute.
A bit more annoyed that Grothe got the offensive when he piled up those numbers against Syracuse. I think that has to discount things a bit.
McKillop and McCoy were tossed the weak bone of “Weekly Honor Roll.”
We also know that there was a lot of preseason hype and accolades being passed out before the Bowling Green game. This team is much better than it was to start the season, but it also showed us that awards aren’t nearly as important as wins.
Keep the wins coming, baby!!
I was at Navy game and McCoy was great and frankly all Pitt D was too much for us too.
You will plow Rutgers this week just like Navy and you should be # 14 not SF.
I’ve been able to see every Pitt game so far this year, so this is very disappointing to me.
I mean, a top 20 team not having their game televised in any capacity whatsoever is ridiculous.
Maybe (hopefully) that’s changed.
Driving out to the game from CT… any way to get into a lot (not garage) where you can actually tailgate (as in grill)? Like independent lots?
Isn’t it just a broadcast of the game online or something?
Also, any audio options online for this game?
If I still lived in Pittsburgh I’d just go to the damn thing.
As Kurt said if you get there early enough many of the parking lot attendents can be persuaded to let you in for $10-20.
