Shane Murray, as you’ve probably heard or read — heck I even saw it on the ESPN Crawl this evening — is out for the year with a torn ACL in his right knee. It wasn’t caught until a second MRI. It isn’t clear whether it was torn from when he got injured just before the end of camp or subsequently when he came back versus Syracuse.
One of the area where there isn’t depth, yet.
It’s the same as it has been since camp. He, along with the staff, were hoping he could forgo the surgery until after the season. Unfortunately that is no longer a possibility. On a brighter note, it looks like Pitt recruit Todd Thomas will announce his verbal commitment to the Panthers tomorrow. 99% Pitt, 1% PSU.

It’s a shame, Murray’s a good kid. On the other hand, Ransom has been playing pretty solid, other than a couple mistakes.

Would be great to have him but the Panthers have managed without him. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Chas,
That is the first and last “Shane” reference I hope to see on this blog.
That is all.
