The Pitt Athletic Department is out trying to do extra promotions for Pitt. They have apparently put together a “summer tour.” I don’t want to mock this. I’m sure there’s some benefits to this. I want Pitt promoted in the community.
That said, I have to mock this. All because of this one bit.

This isn’t serious, right? People still do this? Take pictures with cardboard images?
You know, even in jest. Just for fun, if you actually do this sort of thing I don’t want to know you.

the one obvious question is we dont have any real players that would volunteer to go to some of these events to take pictures with kids or fans????

at least they are trying something new! I have 4 daughters that aren’t that old who would probably be more interested in Roc anyway. I think better yet is to give football radio rights for free to any station that buys the basketball package. I remember growing up in near Steubenville oh, and there were several stations carrying the Panthers. The stations they have up here in Punxsutawney are pitifully weak, and can barely be picked up half the time. If they could just expand their coverage area, it would help. also, on the way down to a Pitt fb game last fall, we tried to get the score of the psu game, apparently their coverage area has shrunk also.

Hey, last week my daughter posed as Staten Island Chuck, NYC’s answer to Punxsutawney Phil. I would’ve too but my head is too fat.
