At least, not right now. They got smoked by Wisconsin last night 81-66.
UMass is 6-1 but considering the most impressive win came against Northeastern, they aren’t exactly making the case they were a real challenge.
It’s good to find little things to help keep perspective.
The beating we put on FSU was much sounder than Wisconsin’s win.

I’m looking forward to the Wisconsin game. That’ll be Pitt’s first real test. They’re a pretty good team.

I agree with Omar. I watched the game it didnt get out of control until the last ten minutes.

Difficult to smoke a team in a game that promises to be deliberate. Both teams like to play halfcourt. I think Pitt can beat Wisconsin, but it’s because of overall team speed (on defense) and because even though the Badgers front line is big, no one on it is an aircraft carrier like Gray. Pitt better watch out for Taylor, though, because he’s better than any one guard Pitt has.

Yeah, we learned our lessons during the football season by beating up lesser teams to a 6-1 record, and getting our hopes up.
Sounds like the PITT Bball team is the real deal though.
